Market Research Analyst

BorderX Lab is the creator of the Beyond Fashion and Beauty Discovery Marketplace launched in 2014. We connect Chinese shoppers to official websites of brands and merchants including Saks, Bloomingdales, Everlane, Finish Line and Alexander Wang. Through our direct partnerships with major US and European fashion + beauty brands we guarantee our users receive authentic products at authentic prices. For brands we provide a turn-key solution to China localization and logistics. BorderX Lab has offices in Silicon Valley and Shanghai.

 

Responsibilities

  • Create, articulate, and execute a vision and strategy to rapidly increase the followership and quality of BorderX Lab’s social communities in North America.

  • Develop the regional social media roadmaps and support global, regional and localized marketing plans that achieve both scale and engagement through paid or owned media.

  • Apply engineering oriented management skills and software tools to manage company’s social media strategies.

  • Execute all social media activities to build a strong presence on these social media channels and grow company’s followers.

  • Use creative means and existing source of software tools to plan, organize, and implement a range of social media programs, campaigns and/or events that drive borderxlab.com site traffic, brand awareness and interest in BorderX Lab’s business platform solutions.

  • Monitor all social media outlets, such as pages, sites, blogs, on a daily basis and post/respond on particular topics or in response to other posts/comments using professional engineering languages and terminologies.

  • Capture regional learnings and curate best practices and apply to content, social strategies and company’s product development.

  • Research, analyze, and report marketing, advertising and overall social media industry trends in the United States, China, and worldwide.

  • Determine future direction of industry after corroborating data and identify current saturated and/or emerging markets.

  • Communicate research findings, make recommendations and advise the company on business strategy.

  • Store, maintain, and update business intelligence database and social media database.

  • Conduct market and social media analysis using competitive practices and tools.

  • Research industry benchmarks including pricing, changes, availability, service levels, and trends.

  • Generate marketing reports in order to create and refine company’s product development efforts, advertising, and analyze partners’ responses regarding company’s business solutions.

  • Use business intelligence tools to collect and compare data on customer demographics and customer habits in U.S. and China to identify potential markets for advertising.

  • Identify new business opportunities, stay ahead of the curve in leveraging all social media to further BorderX Lab’s strategy and help the business achieve its goals.

 

We are looking for someone who has

  • Master’s degree in Marketing, Management, BA or related field

  • One (1) year of experience in the position offered or related occupation.
