We’re looking for a beauty buyer from a major multi-brand beauty retailer in BorderX Lab. BorderX Lab is the leading technology enabled, cross-border e-commerce solution for global brands and merchants targeting the explosive Chinese consumer market. The company's mobile app and platform (Beyond) connects American and European brands – in fashion, beauty, healthcare and lifestyle product categories with the rapidly emerging middle class in China (and soon in other regions of the world).
BorderX Lab partners with more than 50 merchants, including Saks, Peter Thomas Roth, Finish Line, Forzieri and Everlane to bring a catalog of more than five million products to Chinese consumers, who have downloaded the company's iOS and Android apps more than three million times. The company has generated tens of million in new sales for its top merchant partners in 2017 and has been profitable since Q3 2017.
Make introductions to sales contacts at mid-tier and indie Fashion or beauty brands, negotiate and sign partnership contracts.
Work with existing merchant partnership team to implement best practices for vendor relationship management.
Work with product, marketing, and operation team to drive sales and profit for the signed beauty brands.
Advise CEO on strategy for implementing and managing the Fulfilled By BorderX Lab business.
The ideal candidate will have 5+ years of experience in a buying/merchandising role dealing directly with vendors.
Must have Minimum of 2-3 years of recent fashion and/or beauty buying/merchandising experience.
Experience with a large multi-brand retailer or department store is preferred.
